DepthQ, the world’s fastest polarizer for 3D cinema

on Tuesday, 09 April 2013 15:47. Posted in Exhibition, glasses, servers, and projectors

The DepthQ Polarization Modulator for 3D Digital Cinema is the world's fastest polarization switch for stereoscopic cinema, period.

Its newly patented technology makes DepthQ the world’s fastest passive glasses switch: With a powered, symmetrical 50 microsecond switching time between the eyes (1/20,000 s), DepthQ requires the world's smallest dark time, easily ensuring bright, low-crosstalk operation, even at the upcoming 3D HFR (high frame rate) targets of 48, 96, 192 or even 240 FPS, and beyond.

When combined with a silver screen, the DepthQ Polarization Modulator allows any digital cinema projector to display stunning stereoscopic 3D movies, viewable using inexpensive industry-standard passive glasses.

RealD Precision White Screen is Good for 3D AND 2D

on Saturday, 20 April 2013 16:08. Posted in Exhibition, glasses, servers, and projectors

RealD Inc. announced at CinemaCon this week  the introduction of its Precision White Screen technology for cinema projection, combining 2D white screen performance with the ability to project polarized 3D stereoscopic images.

Designed to deliver enhanced 2D and 3D presentations with wide viewing angles similar to white screens of equivalent gain, Precision White Screen technology features edges 4 to 5 times brighter than a standard silver screen. The improved screen efficiency results in 40% more total light coming off the screen, providing more uniform brightness than a standard silver screen.

To get something similar be prepared to handle him some 6M$...
