3D Shooting Hampered by Jello Effect? Use ND filters
"Jello Effect" -also known as "Rolling Shutter"- appears when a CMOS camera moves fast in the vertical direction or suffers from uncontrolled vertical vibrations. The problem appears because the shutter opens at different times for each line of an image. The effect is exacerbated by very short exposure times.
"Jello Effect" and 3D shooting don't mix very well as it makes very difficult to synchronize left and right images, especially on 3D rigs where one camera is inverted vertically such as in 3D mirror rigs. The solution: using a neutral density (ND) filter will darken the scene and force longer exposure times which in turn mask most of the "Jello Effect". Video proof here under.

Chad Johnson released an interesting video about "Jello Effect" killing with ND filters for the GoPro Hero3 camera on its quadcopter.

"I bought a filter mount and some ND filters from Snake River Prototyping a while back and the results were dramatic, removing virtually all the jello... The filters let less light into the GoPro, causing it to slow it's shutter speed, and this in turn reduces or removes jello in your image. It's great for aerial video, as well as motor sports."
"The .6 ND gives 2 stops of light suppression, and the .9 gives 4 stops. I find the .6 is good for most situations, and the .9 is good for brighter situations like sandy beaches, or in snow. The Circular Polarizer reduces jello, but it's main purpose is to cut down on glare on water or glass. Another thing I see often is what I call "Prop Flutter" in some of my GoPro shots. It happens when the sun hits the lens at certain angles. These filter mounts act as a lens hood, and offer a little bit of shade over the lens to help when prop flutter happens.
