ANOMALY 3D Paranormal TV Show
Anomaly is a stereoscopic 3D TV series produced by David Cole from Beampath Stereoscopic (Pembroke Pines, FL,USA).Anomaly is a paranormal investigation show that focuses on scientific and forensic on-location investigations of paranormal activity. The show’s 1-hour docu-reality format is fast paced, entertaining and often chilling.
Anomaly's first season will focus on the most reportedly haunted locations in the world. “You’ve gotta fish where the fish are, “ says Jack Kassewitz. “We’re going to capture as much evidence of the paranormal as we possibly can – and we’re bringing our viewers along for the ride.”
Anomaly often moves the audience point-of-view through visually interesting environments in a way that is much like a ride film. It's amusing, scary, interesting, engaging.... sort of like a roller coaster for the mind.

Shooting in the Dark
Beampath Stereoscopic developed an arsenal of 3D camera rigs that can shoot in total darkness. Each camera had to be modified to allow full-spectrum light to reach its sensor. They had to develop specialty infrared illuminators. Even the glass in the beam splitter rigs has specially formulated coatings to work properly in infrared light.
David Cole said to 3DTVchannels: "The BIGGEST challenge may actually be shooting 3D in total darkness. Many of the queues that a stereo photographer can rely on in normal light are simply not there in total darkness. Additionally, chasing ghosts up attic stairs, in total darkness, with a 35-pound camera rigged to your body - can be a bit dicey. We've had to develop a bunch of production techniques to master the environment."
