"ORA", the First 3D Movie Shot with Thermal Cameras
Join the S3D Centre at Emily Carr (Vancouver, Canada), in conjunction with Simon Fraser University, for an evening with celebrated filmmaker Philippe Baylaucq. The evening will include the premiere Vancouver screening of his experimental 15-minutes Stereoscopic 3D short film ORA.
ORA is dance transformed by cinema—a completely unique film experience that merges the artistic worlds of Baylaucq and choreographer José Navas. The first film to use 3D thermal imaging, its visuals are unlike anything ever seen: the luminous variations of body heat seen on skin, bodies emitting a multitude of colours, a space filled with movement that transforms itself.
"A Lapse of Time 3D" by Céline Tricart
Céline Tricart is the rising 3D cinéma director in France. Her last short was shot in and around the old Strasbourg cathedral. She used RED cameras on a Binocle 3D Rig to capture images for the 15-minutes long movie now available online on YouTube in Full HD 3D.
Daily Battles 3D Featured at 2013 TED Conference
Award-winning 3D director James Stewart, from Geneva Film Co., will present the world premiere of his animated 3D stereoscopic short film BEATRICE CORON'S DAILY BATTLES at the renowned TED Conference in Long Beach ( California, USA) on Tuesday, February 26, 2013. Stewart and celebrated New York City artist Beatrice Coron, both veterans of TED, will attend the premiere. Watch the trailer here under.
"History of Cieszyn" 3D Short
The "History of Cieszyn" film was made on request of Budgast sc (Skoczów, Poland), which restored the historic restaurant "Under the Brown Deer" in the Polish town of Cieszyn. A room inside the restaurant has been specially equipped with a 3D stereoscopic projection screen to present the short movie about the history of Cieszyn to visitors. The first projection is scheduled for March 15, 2013.

3X3D, a 3D Stereoscopic Feature from Jean-Luc Godard, Peter Greenaway, and Edgar Pera
Rodrigo Areias (Fundaçao Cidade de Guimaraes, Portugal) will produce an innovative stereoscopic 3D feature film made of three humoristic short movies. Actually in postproduction, the movie is supposed to be ready for the Cannes Festival in May.
The Three Disasters by Jean-Luc Godard, a short film about the historical memory of the 3D.
Just in Time One by Peter Greenaway where space is crossed by various layers of time; 900 years of compiled history.
Cinesapiens by Edgar Pera is a short history of the Cinema viewer, from the cave to silent cinema, through sound to colour and from stereoscopic 3D to holocinema.
