It will be a very long time before we can afford to send humans to Mars, but a virtual visit in 3D is now possibnle thanks to MARS3DdotCOM, an initiative from Adrian Lark who used real NASA data to recreate the red planet in 3D.

Short&Sweet 3D night short film call for entries

Short & Sweet is London, UK's only weekly short film evening, and has been running every Monday night for the past four years. S&S would like to officially call for entries to Short & Sweet 3D, a night of stereoscopic short films at The Barbican in London around 15 July 2010.

A 3D Hamlet musical is in the works

Mark Thomas of Elsinore Films is producing a 3-D musical"Hamlet" targeting the "Harry Potter" and "High School Musical" market.

Hamlet in 3D promises that the "latest 3D technology brings added excitement to cinema audiences: a ghost that hovers in front of your eyes, cannon-fire that flies into the auditorium and a final sword-fight that seems to literally be all around you"?
