World's First 8K 3D Video on YouTube

The Big Dot Company (Cheltenham, UK) has uploaded the first 8K stereoscopic 3D video on YouTube. The video is a 60 second loop of a cactus rotating. The cactus is only 10cm tall, but special equipment was created in order to take high resolution photos just two millimetres apart from each other, meaning you can see the cactus as though you were the size of an ant.

Only a small number of people have a 4K screen, and 8K technology is still years away, so very few people will be able to actually be able to watch the video in all of its glory, but thanks to YouTube’s options, you can watch it in 2D or 3D in in much lower resolutions too.
