Smelling Sulphur from a 3D Match!
Many of us salivate when looking at the image of a tasty dish. Similarly, some people smell sulfur when listening to a holophonic recording of a person striking a match! It is thus evident that the emerging technology of "immersive 3D sound" will offer a new, vast array of storytelling capabilities to moviemakers. And there will no longer be any need for real popcorn; a spatial-3D recording will suffice! Needless to say that no one will ever want to go back to planar 2D surround sound with a 3D stereoscopic movie! Before cinema and TV with holographic image and sound catch up with us, come and discover some of the state of the art in 3D sound. during the 3DStereoMEDIA conference this week.
The presentation will take place as part of 3DStereoMEDIA Professional Conference (PCON) on Thursday December 5, 2013 PM in the AuroTorium of Galaxy Studios, natively equipped with Auro3D, and specially equipped with Atmos for 3D Stereo MEDIA.
