World Premiere: First Broadcast Quality Live VR Transmission
NextVR, a technology company that captures and delivers live and on-demand virtual reality (VR) experiences, last Friday announced they have successfully conducted the first ever live, broadcast quality transmission of a virtual reality experience. The transmission was conducted in real time, high-definition, broadcast quality virtual reality. 3D Surround video content was streamed from the NextVR 3D stereoscopic (6K, 80 fps, RED-based) camera to viewers wearing Samsung Gear VR glasses.
