3D Talks at WIAMIS 2012, Ireland

WIAMIS 2012 is the 13th International Workshop on Image Analysis for Multimedia Interactive Services. WIAMIS 2012 will take place during three days in Dublin City University, Ireland.

WIAMIS is a venerable institution taking place in various European cities since 1997 (with the exception of 2006 when it moved to Korea). The three-days workshop program runs from May 23, 2012 at 09:15 up to May 25, 2012 at 15:40. The general chair of the WIAMIS 2012 committee is Noel O'Connor from Dublin city University.

Stereoscopic 3D talks

Several stereoscopic 3D talks are on the workshop program, including a couple of afternoon sessions on May 23 about "Networked Virtual Worlds" and "What does 3D industry really need from the research community?". On May 24, an interesting talk about "Stereo Video Completion for Rig and Artefact Removal" will be presented by Felix Raimbault, Francois Pitie and Anil Kokaram from Trinity College Dublin's Sigmedia lab.

The workshop will take place in the Nursing Building in Dublin City University (the first building on the left as you enter the university from the Collins Avenue entrance -- see the map). The main workshop room for all oral presentations and keynotes will be HG01, with poster sessions and break areas in the foyer of the same building.
