Why Govindini Murty Loves 3D Movies
In a Huffington Post paper published this week, Govindini Murty says "This may be a controversial thing to say, but I'm an unapologetic fan of 3D movies. I see 3D not as a fad, but as the wave of the future."
She doesn't agree with the attacks on stereoscopic 3D in recent years and praises movies such as Avatar, Prometheus, and Hugo that demonstrated digital 3D technology offers the possibility to stay as inventive as in "Creatures from the Black Lagoon" but with a far better image quality.
She positively loves the immersive experience of 3D and compares the ongoing complaints with with those received by talkies and color in the 1920s and '30s.
Govindini Murty is a writer, actress, and co-editor of Libertas Film Magazine. Among other things, she praised the successful World 3D Film Expo that was held this week in Hollywood and offered a unque chance to watch original 3D classics from the last century in glorious digitally restored stereoscopic dual 35mm format.
