Sky 3D (UK) is broadcasting the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 3D as part of a technology collaboration with Sony. The satellite broadcaster teamed up with consumer electronics giant Sony to film the showpiece motoring event in high definition 3D for the first time. Coverage will go to air early this sunday afternoon at 3pm  on the Sky 3D channel, Europe's first channel dedicated to just 3D programming.

After the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the evening will continue with "Justin Bieber: Never say Never 3D", then "Despicalbe Me 3D" for the happy Sky 3D registered customers in UK.

Sunday July 1st, 2012 on Sky3D from 3 pm to 5pm

Sony's head of 3D Mark Grinyer said that 2012 has "really seen 3D come of age and become the natural choice for broadcasters looking to deliver the best, most complete viewing experience". He added: "There has been massive demand for 3D productions this year from sporting events like Wimbledon, to alternative content such as the Isle of Wight Festival, and Goodwood is the latest production to be given the 3D treatment. This opportunity to bring another of the summer's most hotly-anticipated events to Sky viewers in 3D will give British motoring fans an experience like never before."
