Toshiba 3D Laptop is now cheaper
The Toshiba Qosmio F755-3D150 is a Glasses-free 3D autostereoscopic laptop with a 15" screen. This updated version of the Qosmio F755 shows some notable improvement over the original and is available in the US for 1,299$, someting like 400$ less than last year's version.
Blu-ray playback felt smoother than on the first version and the autostereoscopic 3D seemed more stable though the viewing angle is very narrow. Blu-rays of stereoscopic 3D movies such as "Avatar" and "Tron: Legacy" are very well rendered but you have to use Toshiba's proprietary media player to view them in 3D.
And thanks to the new Nvidia drivers, games now work in 3D, to a point. However it seems that the low-end Nvidia GeForce 540 GPU is a bit short for proper 3D rendering at decent speed.
