Google Tilt Brush is now Open Source : Create Your Own 3D Movies

Google has released a free set of tools to help developers transform Tilt Brush sketches into immersive animations. The new open-source Tilt Brush toolkit can help artists create their own immersive scenes, storylines, tours or, for example, animations that react to music. They are already a number of 3D art and animations created with its Tilt Brush app, such as the undersea clip, or the gnome's living room.

More and more touristic destinations are using 360° VR videos to promote their surroundings. Helas, most of them are in poor resolution. But Dubai beeing Dubai, you will find their video ads in 4K (2160s format on YouTube). Watch this kind of content on your PC and pan left or right with your mouse, or use your smartphone and move around  by moving the screen or touching it with a finger. Baidu Goes AR

Chinese search engine Baidu is entering the AR world of augmented reality with an AR lab to research and build experiences integrating the digital experience with the world around us. The institution is the 4th lab to be established under the Baidu Research division, joining the company’s Big Data Lab, Silicon Valley Lab and the Institute of Deep Learning, which the AR Lab is spinning out from.
