MediCinema Teams with RealD to Donate 3D Cinema to Hospital
Guy's hospital in London, UK has now a 37-seat 3D cinema fitted with RealD stereoscopic gear. The cinema grand opening took place on November 26, 2013.
The ICAP Charity designed a special stereoscopic 3D web site to raise funds. Check it here under!
Six Cinemas now...
This is the sixth theater MediCinema and RealD has installed in a UK hospital, after St. Thomas’ Hospital (London), the Royal Hospital for Sick Children (Glasgow), the Royal Victoria Infirmary (Newcastle), the Serennu Children’s Center (Newport) and the Defense Medical Rehabilitation Center (Surrey).
Like all MediCinemas the new theatre will be easy to access and will comfortably accommodate several wheelchairs and five hospital beds.
The theaters show mainstream movies, including blockbusters from the Hollywood studios, for patients and their families at no charge.
ICAP and a Full 3D Web Site
ICAP is the main charity backer behind Medicinema. The Charity has gone as far as displaying a special web page in 3D to collect funds during their December 3, 2013 "Light Up The Day" event... Have your red/cyan glasses ready before clicking!
