Is ShapeCrafter 3D the Rolls-Royce of 3D Machine Vision?
ShapeCrafter 3D is a prototype of the world's most accurate, real-time 3D camera. It can capture 3D images in color with full HD resolution and 100µm accuracy at near video rates (12Hz). The camera is primarily targeted at industrial applications, such as 3D printing and 3D machine vision, in-line inspection in manufacturing and 3D part localization for robots.

ShapeCrafter AS is a spin-out from SINTEF ICT, which is Scandinavia's largest independent research institute. Its founders, Øystein Skotheim and Henrik Schumann-Olsen, have more than 15 years of experience within optical sensors and 3D machine vision for robotics and automation. Shapecrafter is located in Trondheim, Norway.
