The 3D Pocketcopter is the World's Smallest Flying Camera
The Indiegogo fundraising campaign ended successfully this week for the 3D Pocketcopter. No surprise the tiny stereoscopic flying camera raised 760% of its goal: Controlled by your smartphone up to ten meters away, it records 3D stereoscopic video on its micro-sd memory card, fits into your pocket, anad was available for as low as €79 during the fundraising period.
The first samples should be available from May 2015 for around $100.
Codex Digital New Action Cam is 3D-Ready
Codex Digital's new Codex Action Cam is a compact cinema camera designed for use as a crash cam or witness camera on set. It has 14-bit image processing on board and outputs 12-bit raw at up to 60 fps, the company said, and can be sync'd with "A" cameras such as the ARRI Alexa.
Resolution : 1920x1080 pixels, sensitivity : 160 Lux @ f2.2 and 2000 Lux @ f8.0., C-Mount lens.
Codex said the camera is designed with stereoscopic 3D cinematography in mind. Two camera heads can be connected to one Camera Control Recorder, ensuring that images are processed and recorded identically on both cameras for use.
