Gamers will drive 3D at home

Sony's own 3D efforts have been substantial this year as well. The company released a line of 3DTV and a firmware update that allows all PlayStation 3s to play games in 3D. And looking forward, PS3-exclusives Killzone 3 and Gran Turismo 5 will feature 3D support, allowing anyone with a 3DTV access to the stereoscopic gaming view.

3D games announcements at E3

Killzone 3 world premiere at E3 in the Los angeles Convention Center  (15-17 June 2010)  and there is a trailer available in HD. This improved version of the already excellent Killzone 2 first person shooting game for the Playstation 3 adds many features, including 3D stereoscopy.

Another expected announcement is about the 3D version of the XBox 360 console by Microsoft. Andrew Oliver from Blitz Games said that there will be an announcement "very soon"....

Sony first 3D games released

Tech firm Sony released the first 3D games for its PlayStation 3 console on 10 June 2010. Available to download direct from the PlayStation Network online store are the 3D versions of "Wipeout HD", "Super Stardust HD", "Pain" and a demo version of "MotorStorm Pacific Drift". 20 new 3D games are expected before end of year 2010.
