"Foxed!", a 3D Short in Movie Theatres

Foxed! is an award winning 3 minutes 3D stereoscopic short by Geneva Films (Toronto, Canada). Foxed! is getting a rare -for a short film- theatrical run with Storm Surfers 3D.

The sinister 3D stop-motion world of Foxed! reveals young Emily toiling in mines beneath her house, imprisoned by foxes who have duped her entire town into believing that children can be replaced...

Foxed! is the stop-motion animated brainchild of Canadian director James Stewart. The short premiered at the TIFF Bell Lightbox movie theatre in June 2013 and is receiving a rare theatrical release in front of the feature-length documentary Storm Surfers 3D. Winner of 'Best Animation' at the 2013 Yorkton Golden Sheaf awards, Foxed! has also been touring the international short film circuit, receiving official selection at the Montreal World Film Festival, Anima Mundi in Brazil, ITFS in Stuttgart, was nominated for 'Best Animation' at the Miami short film festival, and was granted the "Best Animted Short" award at the San Antonio Film Festival.

"ORA", the First 3D Movie Shot with Thermal Cameras

Join the S3D Centre at Emily Carr (Vancouver, Canada), in conjunction with Simon Fraser University, for an evening with celebrated filmmaker Philippe Baylaucq. The evening will include the premiere Vancouver screening of his experimental 15-minutes Stereoscopic 3D short film ORA.

ORA is dance transformed by cinema—a completely unique film experience that merges the artistic worlds of Baylaucq and choreographer José Navas. The first film to use 3D thermal imaging, its visuals are unlike anything ever seen: the luminous variations of body heat seen on skin, bodies emitting a multitude of colours, a space filled with movement that transforms itself.
