James Cameron’s 3D Cirque Du Soleil
Cirque du Soleil is a circus performance art that James Cameron intended to put to life in 3D. Things seems on the track now, with Andrew Adamson (with Shrek 1 and 2, and Chronicles of Narnia under his belt) in charge of both writing the original storyline and directing the shooting. The project now has an actual title : "Cirque du Soleil Worlds Away", and has been acquired by Paramount Pictures, that will distribute it in selected theatres around the world in 2012.
Cirque du Soleil shows are famous for their strange and colorful costumes, nail-biting acrobatics, mind-boggling gymnastic maneuvers, and technologically-advanced stage setups that literally rearrange themselves, moment by moment. It’s not something everyone will love, for sure, but it is something worth checking out at least once.
