"1789, les Amants de la Bastille" will be released in 3D in French Cinemas
The French musical tour "1789, les amants de la Bastille" is now over, but the show has been recorded in stereoscopic 3D format (duration: 02:10) and will be released this fall in many French movie theatres. Ticket booking is already open for September 25-28, 2014. Watch the video clip here under.

Metallica Through the Never and 3D Conversion
Metallica Through the Never reportedly had the best opening weekend for any concert movie in IMAX history, the stereoscopic film earned more than $1.5 million at the box office and close to $3.5 million after one month even if it is not yet released in Japon and Korea (November 2013). MTTN has been shot by Nimrod Antal part native 3D (on Cameron-Pace equipment), part converted (by Legend3D).
Much of the buzz has turned to the 3D and CGI technology behind the film. Legend3D—the leading innovator in 2D-to-3D conversion technology —played a role in creating the 3D experience that has been described by some critics as, “the most immersive concert film ever.”
Legend3D, founded by Barry Sandrew, was behind the conversion work on Metallica. More specifically, Matt DeJohn, one of Legend3D's three visual effects supervisors was responsible for the creative effort in the conversion. Note that Barry Sandrew will be at 3DStereoMedia in Liège, Belgium next month to to convert you to 3D conversion.
Metallica: Through the Never 3D Record Opening Weekend
‘Metallica: Through the Never 3D’ just broke international IMAX records, with the film officially grossing more money in an opening weekend than any other previous IMAX release in the US at $1,576,561 (according to BoxOfficeMojo). The stereoscopic musical is also ranked #14 best opening weekend (all categories).
