Sony World Photography 3D Awards Competition

The Sony World Photography Awards are all about being at the forefront of photography, embracing new trends in and exploring the photographic possibilities of advancing technology.

As the media world is currently entering a 3D frenzy, we are excited to be a part of it by launching our first global 3D competition!

3D photographs and videos can give a whole new look to that perfect moment, adding astonishing levels of depth, clarity and realism. We are looking for entries that use true 3D technology, as offered by modern cameras such as Sony's latest Cyber-shot compact cameras, Alpha (α) system cameras and Handycam® camcorders. Anyone can enter this dynamic competition and be a part of this image revolution.

Awards

All winners, including category winners, will receive the latest digital imaging equipment from Sony. All winners, plus many shortlisted photographers, will receive an exhibition of their work at London’s spectacular Somerset House from April – May 2013. The exhibition is part of World Photo London, WPO’s month-long celebration of photography and moving image, which returns to Somerset House for the third consecutive year. The WPO will also feature the winning work across its website, through international exhibitions and inside the annual Sony World Photography Awards hardcover book.

Entry Start: 01/06/2012

Entry Close: 04/01/2013

Accepted formats are .MPO for stills and .mp4, .mts or .m2ts for videos.
