2013 New Year Celebrated with 3D Light Show in Shanghai
Shanghai (China) welcomed 2013 with a modern light show staged on its historical buildings on Monday night. Thousands of Shanghai residents and visitors gathered at the bank of the Huangpu River to witness the New Year countdown, which started at 11:40 p.m. with a chorus and a light show ten minutes later. This year's show featured lights projecting a 3D movie onto the facade of the HSBC Building and Customs House, located in the Bund area, accompanied by aerial performers and a fireworks display.

3x3 smil will be the first edition of an International "Stereoscopy Mapping in Live" Festival. 3x3 smil will take place in PAris, France on October 11-13, 2013. This years main theme is "Water"
3x3 smil is names because the festival is open to videos in 3 dimensions (stereoscopic) with a duration between 3 seconds and 3 minutes. 3x3 SMIL Stereoscopy Mapping In Live will be launched in France in 2013 (Cayeux Sur Mer , Deauville, Cannes, Lyon, …), then in Europe (Berlin, Bilbao, Amsterdam, Milan, Londres, Bruxelles, …).

Britain's Queen Elizabeth will make history by being the first royal to have her annual Christmas speech broadcast in 3D.
The 86-year-old monarch will become the first royal to be televised in 3D when her annual address to the nation airs on Christmas Day (December 25, 2012).
The speech was recorded by BskyB at Buckingham Palace on December 7, 2012 using stereoscopic 3D technology, and viewers will need a 3DTV set to watch the three-dimensional festive broadcast on BskyB, BBC, and ITV.
