Qualcomm's Glasses-free 3D Tablet Revealed
Qualcomm (San diego, CA, USA) displayed a prototype of afirst autostereoscopic 3D tablet at the International CTIA-Wireless 2012 convention in New Orleans, USA (May 8-10, 2012). The tablet is an excellent demonstration of the power of the Snapdragon processor in an Android based device. Stereoscopic 3D user interfaces developed with the KANZI solution is seen as a great way to attack the 3D tablet market for Qualcomm.
Qualcomm's prototype tablet is driven by a Snapdragon S4 mobile processor capable of full 1080p HD stereoscopic 3D playback and recording (and even offers unverified quality real-time 2D to 3D conversion). At CTIA, Qualcomm demonstrated the 3D tablet. Phandroid managed to capture a video showcasing the auto stereoscopic 3D tablet.
The resolution is 1920x1200 pixels.
