KUBO AND THE TWO STRINGS left most critics speechless at the press screening in Las Vegas. The stereoscopic frame-by-frame stop motion animation movie is truly magical: Beautiful story, lovely characters, out-of-this-world animation and George Harrisson,'s "While my Guitar Gently Weeps"... Ben-Hur Released in 3D on August 19, 2016

 Paramount Pictures released "Ben-Hur" staring Morgan Freeman and Jack Huston in stereoscopic 3D this week. The chariot race required 86 horses, 20 stuntmen, 60 horse crew and 80 GoPro cameras, as well as chariots with wheels cut from solid blocks of aluminium. Watch the videos here under.

"Festival Tous Écrans" Tribute to the History of 3D

The Geneva (Switzerland) event will dedicate a major retrospective to 3D stereoscopic cinema during its 22nd Festival on November 4-12, 2016. Designed in association with choreographer and producer Gilles Jobin, ‘Stereoscopia: A History of 3D’ will feature some fifteen works, including many rarities.

Tribeca Film Festival Adding Virtual Reality Award Category

Tribeca Film Festival organizers have revealed that they will accept submissions from virtual reality producers in 2017. It's the first major festival that will allow the category (which includes VR, AR and 360° videos) to compete against mainstream films for awards.

Tribeca featured VR content in 2016, but films were hosted in a special "Virtual Arcade" away from the main festival and were not eligible for prizes. Watch the Tribeca Festival 360° Video here under.
