Think in 3D
This book has been at least 3 years in the making. It is a collection of Clyde De Souza's thoughts on where Stereoscopic 3D movie making could and should, eventually be heading.
After a Cinematographer or Stereographer has learned about the 3D rigs and the equipment to shoot 3D...what's next? This book hopes to provide insights into using Stereoscopic 3D to influence the audiences, and to move forward on how to explore this new medium of visual story telling.
Stereoscopic 3D is crossing over from Hollywood into Television, Advertising, and even Education. This book is designed to inspire a new kind of "3D thinking" in Directors, Cinematographers and Students, to encourage further exploration and integration of Stereoscopic 3D into the process of visual storytelling.
Ultimately it is only how Stereoscopic 3D influences the audience's experience of a film that is important. The book is a dialogue, a story and conversation designed to provoke new kinds of Stereo 3D thinking... The book will lead you through an exploration of the most important questions about S3D's present, then inspire you to venture into the Why and What If? that will lead us to the future of this storytelling medium, and hopefully unleash its true potential as an integral, enriching part of the filmmaking process.
