The new book by Céline Tricart is an extended summary of practical 3D stereoscopic shooting methods. Published in French and edited by "Baie des anges" in France, the book is 280 pages long; 3D color pictures are easy to view with the included 3D anaglyph cardboard glasses.
Part One includes an overview of the human visual system, an history of 3D cinema and all the basics behind 3D shooting. Part Two covers stereography as an art form and a practical guide on how to shoot a 3D movie, followed by key concepts and examples. The book includes many abstracts of well known stereographers interviews, including Phil "3D" Mc Nally from Dreamworks, Demetri Portelli (Hugo Cabret stereographer), and Jean-Pierre Jeunet who wrote the foreword too.
